05 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
09 - 2 large eggs
10 - 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
11 - vegetable oil, for frying (about 1/2 inch depth)

→ Zesty Lime Dip Ingredients

12 - 1/2 cup sour cream
13 - 1/4 cup mayonnaise
14 - zest of 1 lime
15 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
16 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
17 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
18 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
19 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

# Steps to Cook:

01 - In a shallow bowl, combine flour, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Place breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
02 - Dip each cod strip into the seasoned flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs. Arrange coated strips on a plate.
03 - Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
04 - Carefully place coated cod strips in the hot oil in batches without overcrowding. Fry each side for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
05 - In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lime zest, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and homogenous.
06 - If desired, fold in the chopped fresh cilantro to enhance freshness and flavor.
07 - Refrigerate the dip for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.
08 - Serve spicy Cajun cod strips hot alongside the chilled zesty lime dip. Garnish with lime wedges for additional zest.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a healthier alternative, bake the cod strips instead of frying.
