Hangover Breakfast Burger Stack (Printable Version)

A bold breakfast burger stacked with spicy beef, crispy bacon, hash browns, cheese, and a runny egg.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Burger Patties

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
02 - 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
03 - 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeños
04 - 1 tsp salt
05 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
06 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder

→ Sauce

07 - 2 tbsp ketchup
08 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise
09 - 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

→ Toppings

10 - 4 thick-cut bacon slices
11 - 4 pepper jack cheese slices
12 - 4 large eggs
13 - 1 cup frozen hash browns, cooked crispy

→ Buns

14 - 4 large brioche or kaiser rolls, buttered and toasted

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Combine ground beef with onions, jalapeños, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into large patties, larger than buns to account for shrinkage.
02 - Press a thumb-sized dimple into the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking. Chill patties while preparing other ingredients.
03 - Mix ketchup, mayonnaise, and sriracha in a bowl. Cook hash browns until crispy, fry bacon until crisp, and butter and toast buns.
04 - Preheat grill to 450°F (232°C). Cook patties about 3 minutes per side. Add cheese slices during the last minute to melt.
05 - Cook eggs sunny-side up or over easy to keep yolks runny.
06 - Spread sauce on bottom buns, add burger with cheese, then hash browns, bacon, egg, more sauce, and top buns. Serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Make patties larger than buns as they shrink when cooking. Prepare all ingredients before grilling to streamline assembly.
02 - Use thick-cut bacon for strong flavor and crispy texture.
03 - Avoid pressing patties while cooking to keep them juicy.
