Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to blend and the soup mix to bloom.

Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the interior, leaving about a 1-inch crust wall to contain the dip. Reserve the removed bread and tear it into 1-inch pieces for dipping.
