Air Fryer Potato Slices (Printable Version)

Crispy potato slices with garlic and herbs, golden on the outside, soft inside, ready fast in the air fryer.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 large starchy potatoes, such as Russet or Yukon Gold
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic granules
04 - 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs (such as oregano, thyme, rosemary, or Italian seasoning)
05 - 1 teaspoon salt, plus more for serving

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cool water, scrubbing off any dirt. Slice them into 0.5 cm thick rounds using a sharp knife, ensuring even thickness for uniform cooking.
02 - Place the sliced potatoes into a bowl of cold water to remove surface starch. Let soak for at least 5 minutes, then drain. Lay the slices on a clean towel and pat them completely dry to prevent steaming.
03 - Transfer the dry potato slices to a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic granules, dried herbs, and salt. Toss thoroughly to coat each slice evenly.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F). Arrange the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the basket, leaving small gaps for air circulation. Air fry for 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even browning. For extra crispness, add 2 additional minutes as needed.
05 - Transfer the golden potato slices to a serving platter. Optionally sprinkle with additional salt and serve hot with your choice of dip.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Fully drying the potato slices before air frying is essential for achieving a crisp texture.
02 - Soaking removes excess starch and prevents the slices from sticking together.
03 - Use evenly sized potatoes to ensure all slices cook at the same rate.
