01 - 2 lb lean ground beef and/or Italian sausage

→ Vegetables

02 - 1 yellow onion, diced
03 - 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
04 - 3 garlic cloves, minced

05 - 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
06 - 1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed

→ Tomatoes

07 - 1 can diced tomatoes
08 - 1 can tomato sauce
09 - 2 tbsp tomato paste

→ Liquids and Sauces

10 - 1 cup beef broth
11 - 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
12 - Hot sauce, to taste

→ Spices and Seasonings

13 - 2 tbsp chili powder
14 - 1 tbsp ground cumin
15 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
16 - ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
17 - 1 tsp salt
18 - ½ tsp black pepper
19 - 1 tsp brown sugar

# Steps to Cook:

01 - In a skillet, cook ground beef and/or Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked.
02 - Add diced onion, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened and fragrant.
03 - Transfer the cooked meat and vegetables to a 6-quart slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, beans, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and all spices. Stir well.
04 - Cover and cook on high for at least 2 hours or on low for 4 hours or more to develop flavors.
05 - Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheddar, jalapeños, avocado, cilantro, or crispy bacon.
