10 - 1/2 cup chopped green candy melts or green M&M’s (optional)

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

04 - Beat in vanilla extract, the whole egg, and egg yolk until the mixture is light and creamy.
05 - Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined to avoid overmixing.

07 - Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan and press down gently for an even layer.
08 - Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
09 - Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting out and cutting into 24 bars.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use room temperature eggs and butter to ensure proper mixing and texture.
02 - Allow the bars to cool fully before cutting to maintain their structure.
03 - Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.
