Spicy Cajun Honey Salmon (Printable Version)

Bold Cajun-spiced salmon glazed with honey butter for a quick, flavor-packed meal.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Fish

01 - 4 salmon fillets, skin-on, about 6 oz each

→ Seasonings and Oils

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
04 - Salt, to taste

→ Sauce

05 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
08 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

→ Garnish

10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
11 - Lemon wedges, for serving
12 - Black sesame seeds, optional

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure seasoning adheres and to promote a crispy crust.
02 - Rub each fillet evenly with olive oil. Sprinkle all sides with Cajun seasoning and add salt to taste.
03 - Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place fillets skin-side up and sear undisturbed for 3 minutes. Flip so skin side is down and cook for 2 more minutes.
04 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and mix in lemon juice.
05 - Pour the honey butter sauce over salmon in skillet. Allow to bubble around the fillets and spoon sauce over fish as it cooks for another 3–5 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
06 - Transfer salmon to a platter, drizzle remaining sauce over fillets, sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional black sesame seeds. Serve with lemon wedges.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - To reduce spiciness, use less Cajun seasoning. Unsalted butter allows better control over sodium.
