Set oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with butter. Add white wine, minced garlic, onion powder, and a dash of pepper. Cook until beef is fully browned. Drain excess liquid and return the mixture to the skillet.

Stir in Worcestershire sauce, condensed cheddar cheese soup, and shredded cheddar cheese. Warm over low heat, stirring continuously until cheese is fully melted. Cover skillet and remove from heat.

Slice the French bread into four even segments, then cut each segment horizontally to create a sandwich.

Fill each sandwich with one quarter of the beef and cheese mixture, spreading evenly.

Lightly spray each sandwich exterior with non-stick cooking spray. Wrap each sandwich tightly in aluminum foil and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until heated through.
