Grinch Hershey Kiss Cookies (Printable Version)

Soft green cookies topped with Hershey’s Kisses and candy hearts for festive holiday treats.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 17.5 ounces sugar cookie mix
02 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
05 - 3/4 teaspoon green gel food coloring
06 - 18 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
07 - 18 large heart-shaped candy sprinkles

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with baking spray or line with paper liners and set aside.
02 - In a small bowl, thoroughly whisk together the egg and green gel food coloring until uniformly blended.
03 - Using a handheld mixer on low speed, blend together sugar cookie mix, all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, and egg mixture in a large bowl for 2 to 3 minutes until a thick dough forms.
04 - Scoop 1½ tablespoons of dough using a 1½-inch cookie scoop, flatten into a 3-inch disc, place a Hershey’s Kiss upright in the center, then carefully wrap the sides around the candy and shape into a ball.
05 - Place dough balls in the prepared mini muffin pan, keeping Hershey’s Kisses upright. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until dough is set but not browned.
06 - Immediately after baking, place one heart-shaped candy sprinkle slightly offset to the right of center atop each cookie. Cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Ensure butter is at room temperature for easier mixing and a smoother dough consistency.
02 - Avoid overbaking to maintain the cookies’ tenderness and prevent dryness.
03 - Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
