Place the chicken breasts in the base of the slow cooker.

Sprinkle the chicken with garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper.

Pour the salsa over the chicken to cover it completely.

Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 1/2–3 hours, or on low for 5–6 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks.
