01 - 8 ounces boneless salted cod, soaked and shredded
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
05 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
07 - 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
08 - 1 large egg
09 - Milk or water, as needed
10 - Vegetable oil, for frying

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Soak salted cod in water overnight, changing water several times. Drain and shred the fish.
02 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, granulated garlic, and smoked paprika until combined.
03 - Add shredded fish, diced onion, minced parsley, and egg to dry mixture. Gradually pour milk or water while stirring to achieve desired batter consistency.
04 - Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat to approximately 350°F.
05 - Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
06 - Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels before serving.
