Creamsicle Orange Soft Chewy (Printable Version)

Soft, chewy orange treats combining bright zest and sweet white chocolate chips in each bite.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1 box (approximately 15.25 oz) white cake mix
02 - 1 box (3 oz) orange gelatin powder
03 - 2 tablespoons fresh orange zest

→ Wet Ingredients

04 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter, softened to room temperature
05 - 2 large eggs, at room temperature

→ Mix-ins

06 - 1 cup white chocolate chips

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the white cake mix, orange gelatin powder, and fresh orange zest until evenly combined.
03 - Add softened butter and eggs to the dry mixture. Mix thoroughly, scraping down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed to form a uniform dough.
04 - Gently fold the white chocolate chips into the cookie dough until evenly distributed.
05 - Using a 1 ½ tablespoon cookie scoop, portion dough and roll into balls. Place each ball on the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
06 - Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers remain soft. Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use a microplane or the finest grater available to zest the orange for maximum flavor brightness.
02 - Ensure butter and eggs are at room temperature for optimal dough consistency.
03 - Do not overbake; cookies should be soft at the center when removed from the oven and will firm up while cooling.
