02 - 1 cup heavy cream (36% fat), divided
03 - 2 tsp instant espresso powder
04 - 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

→ Coffee Mousse Layer

05 - 1/2 cup freshly brewed coffee, chilled
06 - 4 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
07 - 1/3 cup powdered sugar
08 - 3/4 cup heavy cream (36% fat), cold

→ Textural Components & Garnish

09 - 1 cup chocolate cookies, broken into pieces (biscotti or wafers)
10 - 1/2 cup lightly sweetened whipped cream
11 - Chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or coffee beans for garnish

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over chopped dark chocolate and espresso powder. Let rest for 2 minutes, then stir gently until smooth and glossy. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool slightly.
02 - Whip remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream to soft peaks. Fold gently into the cooled chocolate mixture until fully incorporated and light.
03 - Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Gradually add chilled coffee, mixing until combined.
04 - Whip 3/4 cup cold heavy cream to medium peaks, then fold delicately into coffee-cream cheese mixture to create a light mousse.
05 - Layer crumbs of chocolate cookies in serving glasses, followed by a layer of chocolate mousse, then a layer of coffee mousse. Repeat layers as desired. Chill in freezer 15 minutes between layers for setting.
06 - Top with lightly sweetened whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or coffee beans. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving for optimal flavor and texture development.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Ensure heavy cream is very cold for optimal whipping volume. Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in mousse.
