Once it’s out of the oven, toss that rest of the green onion on top. Set it out hot with whatever you wanna dip.

Spread the whole mix into your prepared dish, making sure it’s even. Pop it in your hot oven for around 30 minutes, until you see bubbles and melty goodness.

Dump the crumbled sausage, half that chopped onion, plus cheddar into your big bowl. Gently fold it all together with a spatula so every bite has a bit of everything.

Beat together the softened cream cheese and sour cream in a big bowl with a mixer, going at medium speed. You’ll want this really smooth and creamy, about 5-7 minutes.

Slice open and toss the casing from your sausage. If it’s not cooked, fry, boil, or grill it until done. Break the meat up small and set aside.

Flip your oven on to 175°C. Spray a square 20x20 cm dish lightly and keep it ready.
