  • Author: tasty

Description

If you’re looking for a quick and flavorful seafood dish, these Crispy Spicy Salmon Bites are the perfect choice! Bite-sized salmon pieces coated in a crunchy, spicy crust and cooked to perfection make for a delicious appetizer, snack, or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for extra spice)
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Coating

In three separate bowls, set up the coating stations:

  1. Bowl 1: Add flour.
  2. Bowl 2: Beat the eggs and mix in the hot sauce.
  3. Bowl 3: Combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and chili flakes.

Step 2: Coat the Salmon

Dip each salmon cube first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it thoroughly with the seasoned panko mixture. Set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Salmon Bites

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated salmon bites in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

Transfer the salmon bites to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Air Fryer Option – Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Oven-Baked Version – Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Gluten-Free Alternative – Use almond flour and gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Extra Crunch – Double-coat the salmon for an ultra-crispy texture.
