01 - 4 large apples

02 - 1 cup pumpkin puree
03 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
04 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
05 - 1/4 cup chopped pecans
06 - 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

08 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
09 - 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Wash and core the apples, preserving the bottoms. Slice a small portion off the top of each apple to widen the opening.
03 - In a medium bowl, combine pumpkin puree, breadcrumbs, brown sugar, chopped pecans, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon. Stir until evenly blended.
04 - Fill each cored apple evenly with the pumpkin mixture.
05 - Place the stuffed apples upright in a baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter and maple syrup over the top of the apples.
06 - Pour approximately 1/4 inch of water into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
