Bacon-wrapped burgers with pineapple and BBQ sauce baked to juicy, crispy perfection.

# Everything You’ll Need:

→ Burger Patties

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef (93/7 fat ratio)
02 - 4 tablespoons smoky barbecue sauce, divided
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Toppings and Wrapping

05 - 8 slices smoked bacon
06 - 4 fresh pineapple slices, 1/2 inch thick, core removed
07 - 4 brioche-style burger buns
08 - Toothpicks for securing

# Steps to Cook:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place an oven-safe wire rack on top for even cooking.
02 - In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix to avoid tough texture.
03 - Divide the seasoned beef into 4 equal portions and form into patties approximately 3 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
04 - On a tray lined with parchment, lay 2 bacon slices in an X shape. Place a burger patty in the center of the X.
05 - Place a pineapple slice on top of each patty. Fold the bacon over the burger and secure with a toothpick through the center.
06 - Repeat the bacon and pineapple wrapping for the remaining patties. Place all burgers on the prepared wire rack.
07 - Bake the burgers for 15 minutes until bacon begins to crisp.
08 - Remove burgers and brush remaining 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce over the bacon using a pastry brush.
09 - Return burgers to oven and bake another 10 to 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
10 - Remove from oven and let burgers rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. Toast buns if desired during this time.
11 - Remove toothpicks, place each burger on a bun, and add desired toppings before serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Let burgers rest after baking to preserve juiciness.
02 - Substitute canned pineapple rings packed in juice if fresh is unavailable; pat them dry before use.
03 - Standard or center-cut bacon crisps better than thick-cut.
